King of the Fort 2011 Report
After the success of the King of the Fort event in 2010, we were immediately excited to make it an annual event.

The 18th and 19th of June 2011 will see Africa’s fastest longboarders and lugers gather in Pretoria and battle for the title of King Of The Fort.
We’ll be doing the last leg from the Civic Center, riding with the cyclists to the EcoPark to promote longboarding as an alternative means of transport and create AWENESS!
On the second of April we hosted the first ever Loaded SA Slide Jam. It was held in Stellenbosch, pretty much the capital of Longboarding in South Africa at the moment.
Just the other day I wrote an article about Loaded that’s now officially in South Africa. Then they go and push the stoke by organising the first Loaded SA Slide Jam.
As many of you might know by now, Loaded is now officially in South Africa. I received the following article from Loaded’s representative here in South Africa, Raoul van den Berg.

After a very successful event was held in September 2010 First Nature has decided to run the King of the Fort again in 2011!
This weekend saw the High Rising Downhill Xtreme in Grabouw in the Western Cape. First Nature reports that there were 26 competitors in the open stand-up category, 7 in junior stand-up, 5 in street luge and 2 in Classic luge.
